I'll just shoot myself now then.

Didn't even think of reserving a cunting table.

I live just outside Oxford. Considering there are 24,000 students here the nightlife is pretty shit.

The town centre is full of the same old bars you'll find in any town. The Cowley Road is more interesting, Jericho too.

Just have low expectations and you'll enjoy it.

It’s going to be like everywhere else in the country isn’t it?

Shit and probably mostly closed unless you want to book a table in a pub or stand outside drinking in the pissing rain.

As a slight aside, Oxford has a brilliant quirky hotel, it's a Malmaison, an old jail conversion with original features

The landings are just like a scene from Porridge - not one for being with the lads but book one of the suites there for the Mrs and she will be suitably impressed, an upgrade is the way

Most of the bars are fairly close to each other, a few of them are Cocktail bars. Here's a little help for you https://chillisauce.com/blog/post-6fff0380a7a49175105c

Cheers pal.

Are there different areas? Or is it all in one place?

Re: Oxford Nightlife
The Alchemist and Lighthouse are ok bars, Turf Tavern is more student related, but its not a bad place for drinking
